Mitch Baeyens Reinterpretation.  Me standing next to the creature.
The aim was to reinterpret another person's work.  One of my classmates picked my work and this was his reinterpretation.

Mask Abduction of the Human Soul

 (5 ft x 3 ft. 7")

Haven't been this relieved to finish a project.  I've inhaled enough spraypaint in 2 weeks.
Throughout history the Chinese believed dragons brought agricultural prosperity and were real creatures, but over the centuries, it lost its fallacy and was seen as a misconception.  Although the mask is an important symbol to Chinese culture today, it also serves the purpose as a commodity to attract visitors, which I find misleading.

I designed this mask to be deceptive to the viewer. This mask does not have the ability to bring prosperity and wealth because I made it made up.
